The goitre is called as the growing of the thyroid. But the all thyroid sicknesses are called as goitre among the people.
The types of the goitre
The poisonious goitre appear when the thyroid gland secreting hormone more than adequate.It is also called as interior goitre.The goitre in which hormone level is normal and without nodules is called as basic goitre. The goitre with nodule is called as nodule goitre. The nodule is a mass which shouldn’t exist in thyroid. There are two types of the nodule goitre ‘single nodule’ and ’double nodules’. There are 3 types of the nodules ‘cold’ ,’hot’ ,’warm’. The interior and exterior terms can’t be used in medical litherature despite of using commonly. Thyroid is an organ producing hormone that is called as thyroxin and has vital importance for life. This hormone is then given to the blood.It appears as T3 and T4 forms. The calsitonin hormone which is interestin the bone methabolism is also produced by thyroid gland.The thyroid is replaced in front of the neck,under the salient part called as “The apple of Adam”. It looks lıke the “u” letter or a “butterfly” ,when looked at opposite. There is aorta which carries the clean blood to the brain and collective vessels which carries dirty blood to the heart at the right and left side of the thyroid. There are neural cells moving voice lines at right,left and under the thyroid. These cells are two type as right sided and left sided and they have personel variations and so they can mislead the surgeon at operation. The voice lose can appear while covered by cancerıous cells or damaged at operation because these cells are very important.The 4 parathyroid glands are embeded the interior back side of the thyroid like a lentile each and as a calsium gland.The number can between 1 and 6. These calsium glands can completely or partially be removed while operating.So the patient should apply calsium drugs in lifetime after the operation to prevent mel ting of the bones. Moreover the thyroid itself or the thyroid medicines can cause the melting of the bones.
